Late last week Justin and Hailey welcomed their new little one to the world, ‘Jack Blues Bieber’. There were rumors about other possible names. I like Jack, that was the other name my wife and I were deciding between when our son Ben was born. But enough about that!

Jack is Justin’s dads middle name and also continues the JB initial tradition.

As a father I wanted to offer some new dad advice. First, sleep when the baby sleeps. It might seem weird at first if you get him down at 7pm, but by the 4th time you wake up to a crying baby and it’s not sunrise yet you will appreciate the idea. The second thing is, get up in the middle of the night for diaper changes and feedings. Your wife will love it and there’s something exciting (and draining) about the whole thing.

Take lots of pictures. The time goes by fast. Find a special spot and take monthly updates in the same area, then year after year. You will love to see how they grow.

When they get past real little baby food, switch them to what you’re eating. I have two younger ones at home and they struggle with ‘grown up’ food. Don’t let your kids get stuck on the picky kid food diet.

You will start to enjoy kids songs. There is way more than just ‘Baby Shark’.
