Tony and I were talking about how people are eating cicadas right now, and it reminded us of the times we ate bugs. I’ve tried crickets on 2 occasions. Both times were terrible!
I had a cricket taco at Taste Of The Northside last year... wasn’t for me - but hey, I was trying stuff! The other time was at a Seattle Mariners game in 2017. I went with my family to watch the White Sox (my dad’s favorite team) on the road. Apparently, eating seasoned crickets is a tradition there and I love a tradition! What can I say? I went for it... struck out. I still had the video on my phone, so I posted it below. Even though the crickets were gross (people will tell you they taste like sunflower seeds, but they’re liars), it was a fun way to break the ice and meet some of the fans around me.
