Scammers Can Now Use Meta’s Smart Glasses to Scan Your Face and Pretend They Know You.

Well, this is terrifying. A team at Harvard made an app that pairs with Meta’s smart glasses, and can identify anyone on the street in seconds. One NICE use would be helping you remember that person’s name at a party. But scammers could also use it to pretend they know you. That’s why they built the app, to show it’s possible now. They did a video where they test it out on the subway and trick two random people. It can even look up things like your parents’ names and your home address, all in real time.
